Here’s
a list of just a few of the
challenges leaders are facing these days
•
Constant change
• Intense competition
• Tight deadlines
• Low data decisions
• Razor-thin margins
• Investment uncertainty
• Unstable economy
• Unproven technology
• Government regulation
• De-regulation
• Investor impatience
• Fickle customers
• Emerging markets
• Increasing expenses
• Ethical concerns
These
challenges require skilled, emotionally intelligent and multi-faceted
leaders. We call them “Diamond Leaders.”
Painfully
Obvious Rule #1:
Leaders
don’t lead organizations... leaders lead people. Diamond Leaders
are constantly spinning, whirling, cutting, shining through tough
people challenges.
Orlando-Ward
& Associates has developed a number of powerful programs and
training methodologies on leadership. These range from a simple
two-hour introductory program featuring live, professional actors
called “Act On It” to a twelve month,
customized intensive on-site training program for executives called
“Diamond Leadership Training.”
Painfully
Obvious Rule #2:
•
For a few people, leadership is in their genes (think Mahatma
Ghandi).
• Most other good leaders have to really work hard at it.
(think George Washington)
• Everybody else should just stop trying. (anyone you know?)
